KAFD – The Beating Heart of Modern Riyadh.

The King Abdullah Financial District. This is the financial hub of the Middle East and a symbol of Saudi Vision 2030. With skyscrapers that redefine the horizon, this district is a blend of world-class business infrastructure and artistic urban design. It’s more than an office park; it’s a living, breathing city of the future.

In this blog we would like to share our journey experience and tips. Watch the video for visual experience:

Getting There: Navigating Riyadh Metro to Reach KAFD Efficiently

Our Journy started from SAB metro station. So, we used blue line to get there. But the KAFD station is a major interchange. So, you can use yellow and purple line also to reach there depending on your journey starting point.

Before Starting Your Trip:

Download the App: Ensure you have the official Riyadh Metro app (or the "Darri" app) to check real-time schedules, station maps, and fare balances.

Off-Peak Travel: To avoid the business rush, plan your visit between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, or late in the evening when the skyscrapers are beautifully illuminated.

Safety & Comfort: The stations and trains are heavily air-conditioned. If you are sensitive to cold, carrying a light shawl or jacket is recommended, even if it is 40°C outside. Also the stations are equipped with 24/7 security and assistance points. If you lose an item or need directions, look for the staff in high-visibility vests.

KAFD Metro Sation Architectural Landmark:

The KAFD Metro Station was designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. Give yourself an extra 10–15 minutes just to admire the undulating "sinusoidal" waves of the building’s interior and exterior. And the station is directly linked to the district’s "Skywalk" system—a network of climate-controlled bridges that allow you to walk between towers without stepping into the heat.

Ticketing & Classes

Darri Card: Purchase a "Darri" smart card at any station vending machine. It is a tap-on, tap-off system.

  • Family Class: Dedicated for families and women.
  • General Class: Open to all passengers.
